Charter of Sovfhub

The Sovfren Society

Preamble

This Charter establishes Sovfhub as the official digital institution of the Sovfren Society. Sovfhub exists to support communication, education, collaboration, commerce and the constitutional administration of the Society in accordance with the Charter, the Founding Principles and the governing instruments.

Article I — Establishment

Sovfhub is established as a permanent Constitutional Institution of the Society. It derives its authority from the Charter and shall operate in accordance with the Constitutional Instruments adopted by the Society.

Article II — Purpose

Sovfhub provides a private digital environment through which Companions may communicate, learn, collaborate, establish communities and societies, develop brands and enterprises, participate in constitutional governance and access the institutions of the Society.

Article III — Constitutional Role

Sovfhub serves as the Society's principal digital platform for constitutional administration. Subject to the governing instruments, it may administer admissions, constitutional communications, digital records, notices, voting, educational resources and other authorised constitutional functions.

Article IV — Admission

A Man or Woman seeking access to the constitutional functions of Sovfhub shall complete the Society's approved admission process. Applicants shall be given the opportunity to read the Charter, the Covenant of Membership and the Code of Honour before completing the Society's approved written or digital affirmation.

Article V — Companion Services

Sovfhub may provide services including the Register of Companions, constitutional notices, educational resources, communities, commerce, messaging, digital certificates and other facilities authorised by the Society.

Article VI — Communities and Societies

Companions may establish communities, societies, educational initiatives, projects and brands within Sovfhub in accordance with the Charter and governing instruments. Founders remain responsible for their initiatives unless expressly adopted by the Society.

Article VII — Society Opportunities and Appointments

The Society may use Sovfhub to advertise opportunities for Companions to contribute to the constitutional life and activities of the Society. Such opportunities may include appointments to Constitutional Offices, Stewardship roles, educational initiatives, projects, communities, research, commercial enterprises, contractual engagements, employment opportunities, volunteer service and any other lawful activities authorised by the Society.

The Society shall, where reasonably practicable and consistent with its needs, encourage the knowledge, talents and skills of its own Companions by offering opportunities to contribute to the advancement of the Society before seeking assistance from outside the Society.

Selection for any opportunity shall be made in accordance with the governing instruments, published criteria or other procedures adopted by the Society. Nothing in this Charter guarantees appointment, engagement or remuneration.

Article VIII — Governance

The Principal Guardian, the Council of Guardians and authorised Constitutional Officers shall exercise constitutional oversight of Sovfhub. Day-to-day administration may be delegated to authorised Stewards, Officers and administrators.

Article IX — Digital Stewardship

Information, technology and digital resources entrusted to Sovfhub form part of the Common Estate and shall be administered with integrity, Good Conscience and faithful Stewardship.

Article X — Privacy and Records

Sovfhub may maintain constitutional records and operational records in accordance with the Constitutional Records Charter. Public and private information may be administered separately where appropriate.
